Terrence spent his formative years in Singapore and is able to converse in Mandarin and a few Chinese dialects. He graduated from UWA with a Bachelor of Commerce (majoring in accounting and finance and minoring in business law); and from Deakin University with a Master of Business Administration.
Terrence has public practice experience both in Australia and Singapore. His experience is diverse and includes auditing, business advisory, superannuation and taxation. He was the founder and Principal of UTC Integrative Solutions (founded in January 2005) which had undergone a restructure in October 2013 to form Integrative Business Solutions. Terrence is a registered company auditor, registered tax agent and registered SMSF auditor.
Terrence was the 2013 Western Australia Divisional President of CPA Australia and also a member of the following professional bodies and organisations:
• Fellow member of CPA Australia and member of its Public Practice Advisory Committee
as well as WA Public Practice Committee
• Fellow Chartered Accountant (Singapore)
• Chartered Tax Adviser
• Fellow of the Australian Institute of Management and also a member of the AIMWA Advisory Council
Proud recipient of Perth 2016 Leaders of Influence Award for being nominated and voted the Top 100 Influential Person of the Year within Perth’s Small Business Community for three consecutive years. In 2017, Terrence also received the Outstanding Service Award from the Board of Directors of CPA Australia for his contributions to the accounting profession.
After obtaining his Bachelor of Commerce with Honours from UWA in 1998, Kelvin worked in one of the world’s biggest banks, HSBC, in Singapore before returning to Perth in 2002 to begin his career in public practice. With the technical knowledge and experience gained, Kelvin set up his own accounting practice, APL Accounting, in July 2011 which had grown exponentially before it was merged to form Integrative Business Solutions.
Kelvin is a member of CPA Australia and a registered tax agent. He has extensive experience helping small business owners and self-managed super fund trustees navigate the ever changing Australian tax system, and working with them to achieve their financial success.
Family time is important to Kelvin and he especially enjoys having a good laugh with his 2 boys. With any spare time he has, he heads to the track or out of the city on his motorcycle for a great day out.
